History:
Willowface was not always the sweet, caring she-cat she is now - sure, all of that stuff was still there, but it was buried beneath other feelings, hidden behind other doors. Willowkit was born as the only she-cat in a litter of toms - 3, to be exact. Her brothers jeered at her for being a she-cat and thought she was weaker than them. Willowkit saw her brothers - and toms in general - as nothing but mean spirited and hurtful.
She was shamed by her brothers for caring about other cats - for stopping them when they played too roughly with other kits or going to her mother when they played too roughly with her. The youngest of her brothers, Stonekit, began to see that they were treating their sister badly and began taking her side more and more often - which earned him just as much ridicule, if not more, than Willowkit.
When they became apprentices, however, things gradually turned around - but Willowpaw was still frightened that her brothers would turn around one day and be spiteful again; especially when they found out that Willowpaw had no extraordinary talents to be named for - her brothers had made her dislike fighting and using her claws to hurt other cats.
Near the end of their apprenticeship, Stonepaw was blinded by enemy claws and told he couldn't fight as a warrior. He was given his warrior name along with his littermates, but once the ceremony was done Stonepelt joined the elders. Willowface visits him nearly every day.
Willowface's other two, older brothers are gone - one died of hunger during a bad leaf-bare, driven to eating spoiled meat instead of fresh fish, and the other was badly wounded in a battle, and eventually died of infections that could not be treated. Willowface misses them dearly, and she and Stonepelt often reminisce about Paddletail and Ripplewing.
Willowface plans to name two of her future kits after her brothers, if she ever has kits at all.
