A young white she-cat slinked through the damp pine forest, trying to hide in the nonexistent shrubbery. Icekit had wandered into the forest when rain was pounding down, and it has muddled all of the scents. The feline had only noticed that she was trespassing onto another's territory, a really big territory. Icekit couldn't find her way out of it, and with the hours passing by that she had been walking in circles, she was sure that she would be found, and her bright pelt didn't help her one bit. Her sleek fur stood on end as some of the scents grew stronger, but there had to be more that one cat on such a large territory. Icekit opened her maw, letting the wet smells of the forest and the scents of the other cats swirl into her mouth. There was definitely more than one cat here. Icekit desperately prayed that she could get herself out of this mess in one piece, like she had so many times before. Her belly rumbled, reminding her what her true intentions were when she came here, though she would have to ignore her complaining stomach for the time being. She decided that she should stop for a moment, to get her head straight, so she sat down, only to hear twig crack behind her, presumably it was one of the cats who lived here.
This is open for any ShadowClan cat to reply/join.

Mousedung! Stepping on a twig? Really? You're supposed to be better at this... Hollowstar cursed at himself. It was a rookie mistake for one that was supposed to be so good at stalking. It had been just like any other day, patrol, hunt, patrol again... and that was when the black tom had picked up a scent that didn't belong. He followed it until he was able to see a white pelt through the forest. He'd tried to sneak up so he could just attack and drive the intruder out, but that plan had failed. So instead, he stood up straight, puffing out his chest and holding his tail high to appear bigger than he already was. "You're trespassing," he warned the stranger, a hint of a growl in his voice. "Would you care to explain yourself or can we just get to the point where I chase you off like a frightened kit?"

Icekit's heart leaped as she spun around to face the unknown cat, but her fear was only noticeable for a split second, she then forced her hackles to lower and her fur to smooth. She briefly thought of turning tail and running, but she knew it would be no use, this large tom knew the territory much better than her. She replied to the black cat with a voice that was sticky with sass. "Well, you see, I do know I'm trespassing, and I would be gone if you weren't as greedy as the magpie; do you honestly need all of this land?" Icekit most likely stepped over a line when she took a not-so-cautious step towards the gluttonous cat, but she didn't care, she liked to live dangerously. "It's really easy for a helpless molly to get lost in..." She gazed up at him with her blue and green eyes, wondering if she really should have just ran.

Hollowstar's neck fur started to bristle at her tone and that he, the great and generous leader, would need a Clan's worth of territory to himself. He curled his lip and chose to defend his own personal honor rather than just chasing her off like he'd threatened to do. His claws sank into the soft bed of pine needles below his paws as he struggled to keep his cool... or at least most of it. "You really think this is all just mine? Do you know who you are speaking with?" the tom hissed. "I am Hollowstar!" He lifted his chin slightly to compliment his lofty tone. "Leader of ShadowClan. We are the strongest and smartest Clan in the forest and all this," he gestured around him with his tail, "is necessary to support me and my Clanmates." He hissed the last part for emphasis and lashed his tail.
The tom had to struggle to overcome his fondness for a pretty she-cat as she gazed at him, meeting her gaze with his own steely yellow one. "Easy to get lost in?" he snorted, unimpressed. "Is your nose broken? I doubt it would be easy to wander past our scent marks and not notice."

Icekit smirked at the tom's words, he had no idea how boastful he sounded. "Oh, great Hollowstar, leader of the greatest clan to have ever existed, please, do show me these so called 'clanmates'!" The beautiful she-cat mocked him, even though she was fairly sure he did have clanmates, she wanted to see for herself. His name, well the '-star' part of his name sounded so familiar to the younger she-cat, but she couldn't quite place her paw on where she had heard it before. Ignoring Hollowstar's very obvious threatening displays, the bright molly continued with her sassy, and what she hoped would be somewhat seductive act. "And I'm Icekit, the god of the hairless folk." Her voice may have snide, but it was the best comeback/mock she could think of at the very moment. She snorted at the fluffy tom's disbelief. "You should really mark your borders more often the, oh great Hollowstar, leader of ShadowClan. It was pouring rain, how do you expect a cat to smell anything in a storm?" She calmly circled around the tom as she spoke, lightly trailing her tail around his chest and shoulders.

Hollowstar felt a tingle run down his spine. Was this intruder... mocking him? The nerve! "I have Clanmates!" he insisted, realizing too late that he sounded like a kit throwing a tantrum. And it was all starting to become a little overwhelming. She didn't seem to believe he lived with Clanmate. He wanted so badly to show her that he was right and she was wrong, but what would the others think of him bringing a stranger straight into the heart of the Clan? -Kit? Was that a Clan name she had? Hairless folk? Did she mean twolegs? And he was painfully aware of how pretty the white molly was... and how she was just ever so lightly letting the tip of her tail touch him as she circled. He shook his head to clear it and cleared his throat. "Icekit... How did you get that name?" he asked carefully. "It sounds like a Clan name, yet it sounds like you live with the twolegs." The black tom eyed her up and down, turning his head so she was always in his sight. "And you are certainly no kit."

Icekit couldn't resist a loud chortle at the vain tom's kit-like behaviour, she just found it so funny for someone who claimed to be a leader. "And I'm the god of the furless folk!" She continued to mock him, the lithe cat was sure her jeering was getting under his skin, that was good on her part. She wanted nothing more than to see his 'clanmates', if they were even real. Some of the words the tom had been saying tickled at the locked memory bank stored deep into her mind, and she wanted nothing more than to find the key to open it; and she may have just found the key. She stared hard at the handsome tom as he thought for a moment, but it wasn't a glare, she was just trying to figure out what he was thinking; her efforts were of couse futile, Icekit couldn't read minds. "My mother named me that! Obviously! How else would one be named?!" She had let her facade slip a little bit, but she quickly regained her composure. "Hah! Twolegs, shmoolegs! Why would you every think I am supposed to be a kitten?" She was nearing a full giggle fit, but she didn't mind too much, there was still a mean hint in her laughter, and she felt that the cat wouldn't attack her, she hadn't appeared herself to be much of a threat.

The most frustrating thing about the whole thing was that Icekit still didn't seem to believe that Hollowstar didn't live alone. He finally decided that he was the leader and his Clanmates had to go with what he decided to do. "It makes sense that only kits would be named -kit, doesn't it? You have a couple choice now, Icekit," he sneered. "You can follow me and I will show you my Clan, or you can leave now and if my warriors or I see you here again, you can get your pelt shredded." The fluffy tom held eye contact with her for a long moment before turning and starting back towards the ShadowClan camp. He resisted looking back but he was really hoping for her to choose to follow. Because every cat deserved to know the glory off the Clans and not because she was so pretty, so he told himself.

The white she-cat was somewhat annoyed with him calling her a kit, she felt she was far from that, it's not her fault shat was named Icekit! Her playful mood was beginning to wear thin, but she followed Hollowstar nonetheless. She didn't say a words as she followed the larger tom, merely a few tail lengths behind him; the latter option didn't appeal to her as much as finding out about these 'clan' cats. With her tail held high like her head, she decided that it would be a better idea to march beside the tom, to make sure he still knew that she was going to be as annoying as she could.

Hollowstar rolled his eyes as Icekit pulled up beside him. He was glad to know she had chosen to follow, but there was still the problem of her acting like she was good enough to walk shoulder to shoulder with a leader. He smirked to himself when he thought of the look on the she-cat's face when he lead her into camp and showed off his Clanmates.
((Ah I'm sorry it's so short. Want to put them back in camp or play a little more in the woods?))
