Proving a Point (Icekit & ShadowClan... All of them)

Hollowstar didn't have anything else to say to the loner he was leading through his territory. He sent silent thanks to StarClan that she didn't have anything to say either. She was the most annoying cat that he'd had the displeasure of meeting in recent memory and though he told himself he wanted nothing more than to be out of her company, here he still was... taking her to his home just to try and prove a point. He shook his head slightly to clear away the thoughts and glanced back to see if she was still with him. "We're here," he grumbled as he stood outside the entrance to the camp. "I hope you're ready." Then, without waiting to see if she actually was or not, he turned and slipped easily through the entrance. The black tom side stepped once inside the camp to make room for his guest and looked around proudly at his Clanmates in the clearing.

The white she-cat numbly followed the tom; Icekit didn't know what would happen next, but the jumbled scents were all too familiar, but unfamiliar at the same time. As she emerged from the short tunnel that made up the camp's entrance, she was amazed to find that what he had said was true, and that there were other cats. Many of them were staring at the stranger, they had instantly known she wasn't one of them. The pretty she-cat was beginning to feel overly gleeful, but she kept that to herself and replied with the same attitude that she had earlier. "Nice, nice... But to be honest, I've seen better." She only said this at a volume that ShadowClan's leader could hear, she wasn't so sure if these cats would think twice about ripping her pelt off if she insulted them.

Adderpaw looked up from the assorted pine needles under his paws, certain he saw a sign in them. Which seemed to hae disappeared as soon as he was disturbed. The brown tabby's tail swished, eyes narrowed, not by the wind, but of of fear of this little cat, invited into the heart of ShadowClan. Were they accepting rogues now? What, were they ThunderClan?!

Hollowstar bristled and turned to Icekit with a glare. "Where?" he snapped. "I thought you'd never heard of the Clans before." His yellow eyes narrowed in annoyance. He looked over and spotted Adderpaw, who didn't seem to happy to see a stranger in the camp. Just as he had suspected, but he still didn't care. Maybe she would be impressed if she saw the medicine cats. Without saying anything, he started towards the apprentice and flicked his tail for Icekit to follow.

The fur on Adderpaw's spine bristled as he stared at the outsider. Scattering his pine needles, he stood, trying to force it to lie flat. After all, Hollowstar let her in camp. But her eyes slightly scared him. A ThunderClan tom who hissed at him for stepping on his tail was her exact double. He hadn't met many cats with eyes like that.

But, his leader let her here. So he nodded politely. "Hello."

"Not a clan, per se, but a 'society'. It was in the Winding Roads city..." She quickly mumbled before following him towards the hostile seeming tabby. The tabby tom scared her a bit, and he didn't look like he was right in the head, considering her had been staring so intently at a jumble of pine needles. She also respected this cat more that Hollowstar, for the younger tom had manners. Yes, it was very hypocritical on her part, but as always, she didn't care about her many flaws. She dipped her head politely to the tom in the same manner, and returned his greeting with a quiet 'greetings'.

Adderpaw continued his stare, forgetting to blink as he tried to examine the molly. Strangers bring sickness. He wasn't as friendly as Tigertail, and never would be. Why did Hollowstar show the white cat him instead of the nicest cats available? "What's your name. I'm Adderpaw." Though his words were questioning, his tone was flat and suspicious.

"Adderpaw is one of our medicine cats," Hollowstar explained, trying to make it sound as important as he thought it was. Which was a lot. "He and his mentor are both in charge of healing the Clan and keeping them healthy." He really knew nothing about "societies" outside the Clans, but he was sure that none of them were able to use medicine like the Clans could.

Icekit let her tongue talk before her brain, which of course, like many of her actions, was rather dumb. "I'm Icekit. How are you a medecine cat if are only an apprentice though?" How she knew or thought he was an apprentice was a mystery to both her and the cats around her, and she hoped that they would pay no heed to her mutt minded question. She continued talking though, as if words could cover up her little slip up. "That's a wonderful duty you have, Adderpaw, but don't you ever get sick?" She really should stop talking, for every word that exited her mouth was only making her sound more and more like a kitten.

Adderpaw bristled again, overwhelmed with the questions. "Well, Icekit, if that is your real name, being a medicine cat takes more work then you can imagine, rouge!" He snapped, getting very defensive of his position. He just needed to learn a little more is all. "How did you get a Clanname!?"
